03.06.2011 Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium (LARC)* is hosting a national conference of leading arts sector figures interested in sharing good practice and some of the critical understanding needed to realise future opportunities for collaboration, both within and beyond the sector. Triumpha's Founding Director Andrea Adams has been invited to chair the conference session on collborative leadership. Andrea has worked with the seven LARC Chief Executives and their organisations since 2009, helping them to sustain and improve their collective leadership capability, emerging stronger from the economic downturn with a way of working that is undoubtedly a model for collaborative leadership excellence. Alan Davey, Chief Executive, Arts Counccil England, says,'Collaboration will be vital in the next few years. By strengthening relationships we can foster real resilience.' The importance of collaboration is also endorsed by the Future of Work research consortium** led by Lynda Gratton of London Business School. In their latest findings, collaboration in complex environments has emerged as a major challenge of the Future. It's a skill that is seen as incredibly important but so many organisations are lacking the necessary competency. This puts them at risk of not being future-proofed. Andrea commented, 'the Arts sector has pioneered approaches to collaboration that can be applied in other sectors. All organisations would benefit from insights on the challenges of collaborative working, what works in practice and what doesn't, and the advantage effective collaboration creates.' She will be sharing her thoughts on the key principles for successful collaboration in a future edition of Triumpha's newsletter, 'Triumpha Talk'.
